Lesson 1: Look at life as an opportunity, a challenge. Go in with an open mind and a can do attitude. Just solve the problems one by one, ask for help.
Lesson 2: Work hard, but work Smart! Set Goals in writing with an accountability partner.
Lesson 3: Life is not fair, get over it! When one door closes another opens.
Lesson 4: Find balance in everything you do in life.
Lesson 5: How do you find out what is important to others? Watch where they spend their money and their time, especially their disposable income.
Lesson 6: Solve people’s problems and they become your best friend or best customer.
Lesson 7: Be genuine, nice, and sincere. People can tell when you are faking it, everyone dislikes a fake!
Lesson 8: Practice active listening! Put down the electronic device, get off of face book and pay attention. God gave you two ears and one mouth, listen twice as much as you talk! Your family, spouse, kids, co-workers, and customers will love you for it. People just want to be heard.
Lesson 9: Don’t listen to the Weasel voice inside your head telling you that you are no good or cannot do something. You can do a whole lot more than you think you can.
Lesson 10: Give more than what is expected of you. Under promise, over deliver!
Lesson 11: Help old people, with the grace of God you’ll be there one day and you will need someone’s help.
Lesson 12: Your kids need you, they are watching and listening to everything you do. Even if you did not have a good role model, be the role model to them that you would have wanted.
Lesson 13: Give much and give often, you and the world will be better for it.
Lesson 14: Alcohol is the most powerful drug I have ever seen. One drink changes your blood chemistry, Seratonin levels and your decision making process. More grief has been caused by Alcohol than any other drug.
Lesson 15: Join a forum/peer group/advisory board. Steel sharpens steel.
Lesson 16: Be grateful for what you have. Living here in the US puts you in the top 5% of the world!
Lesson 17: Don’t plan to fail by failing to plan: What is your end game?
Lesson 18: Life is short, live every day with purpose, enjoy it. Ask yourself- Was today worthy of the minutes of my life that I traded for it.
