We all operate in the context of a global economy, even if our business only engages metro Charleston. Sam will share the impact of the global marketplace, and speak to the possibility that any of us might be called to extend our reach into other parts of the world.
Sam cofounded Manas Development Group in 2005. As Executive Director, he defines strategy and oversees operations for the firm’s projects. Sam built a business in Xinjiang, China that helped local artisans develop Western export markets. Sam served as a Senior Analyst with America Online’s Business Affairs group, where he negotiated and structured agreements and strategic partnerships with sports and personal finance companies. At AOL he negotiated key project scope terms of a $400 million interactive media rights agreement with the NFL, CBS, and CBS Sportsline. Sam is a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies, and speaks five languages.
